Position Overview: Motorcycle Designer
The Motorcycle Designer is a creative professional tasked with imagining and sculpting future product designs. Trained in industrial and vehicle design, they combine human factors with practical considerations to enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Works with the design team to develop innovative, original concept art and designs for future motorcycles
- Follows through with team members to ensure that designs are aligned with Damon Design Vision and technical standards
- Develops selected concepts from sketch to clay model to a production standard
- Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design, Masters in Vehicle Design
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in product/automotive design
- Outstanding rapid visualization skills, including hand drawing and digital rendering
- Confident, high impact presentation skills
- Prior clay modelling skills; or
- Familiarity with ALIAS or Catia surface modelling highly valued
- A familiarity with manufacturing technology and processes
- Experience riding/owning motorcycles highly valued
- A background in fine arts highly valued
